That out of the way, isn't Net Success Rate the yards needed vs yard gained?
And it only goes to third down?
So the measure would be, say, if we were to go for it a lot of 4th down? And would it be off if we didn't get the needed yards on 1st or 2nd down (both negatives) but did on 3rd down (one positive, but the only one that matters)?
