Sure, they did some of that, but what was most objectionable was their pretending they were a blueblood because they fluked out and got in and had some minor success a P5 conference (that also fluked out in being labeled a P5 conference).

Then, to continue the "facts be darned, reality go to heck, we're a blueblood" pace, their fanbase as a whole talked about how they were too good for the Big12, the PAC was so much superior, and that they were sure to get into the Big10. And then many of them out-and-out stated, as a "silver lining," they'd dominate the Big12 and get year-after-year invites to the CFP as a stepping stone to the Big10.

To laugh at all of that is to be human, let alone their rival.

But BYU fans have done none of that. We have a Natty, heismans, etc. We have bigger venues, bigger viewership, bigger fanbase, and no revenue forced from the hands of taxpayers. So we have been a quality program but we were still grateful to be in the Big12 and never predicted we'd dominate it.
