remember CB being so negative going into a season since the latter Crowton years. I think it was even worse than the offseason after the 2017 disaster. Many fans openly calling for Kalani to be fired, ripping on Jake, criticizing players and coaches, etc. Even after a pretty good road win over SMU (which most of the "experts" you referred to said was going to be pretty good this year), many here were denigrating the team (and SMU) and complaining that if we could only beat SMU by 3 pts, then we must suck and were going to go winless in the Big 12.
