I really hate that baseball doesn’t have a salary cap/tax of some sort

mlb does have a competitive balance tax. true there is no hard salary cap

Basically you have to pay some money that goes to revenue sharing

It is rather punitive. Dodgers paid almost $90 million the past 3 seasons
