I can't really give an opinion on who was at fault. I will let you know that
your insurance contract allows your insurance to determine fault. They aren't likely to change fault once it is determined. There has to be some stuff in the police report that led to the determination. Do you have a copy lf the report? It is rare for insurance to accept fault when they shouldn't.
