Good assessment.
I fully expect Utah to come fully ready with a smothering defense that pokes at all of our offensive pressure points and weaknesses and pushes us away from being able to execute the things we like to do. There will be the ever present threat of them forcing a game changing turnover. Their special teams will be primed to bust a big play somewhere, and while their O will almost certainly attempt to possess the ball and grind us out, they'll be probing for a couple big play opportunities.
In other words, typical modern-day, Kyle Whittingham Utah. And that version of Utah has been good for a long time.
Just not as good as they seem to think of themselves these days.
OTOH, we're no slouches on our end. We happen to know the Utah program and its tendencies, players and game planning exceedingly well with a staff full of former Utes, and we have a D that just might be capable of causing problems for a true freshman QB.
I would so love a blowout in our favor. I expect a blood bath.
