Jake can clean up most of those by throwing to the correct shoulder …
…being more accurate or learning when to zip a ball and when to put a little touch on the pass. Examples, the drop by JoJo Phillips in the first quarter on that deep ball was thrown to his inside shoulder instead of his outside shoulder. It forced him to do a 360 adjust at the last second and that impacted his ability to secure the catch. If Jake was more accurate on that throw JoJo likely makes the catch. We saw a similar pass like that in another game earlier this year where I think Lassiter had to turn all the way around to make a very difficult catch thrown to his wrong shoulder. This is a pattern with Jake’s throws.

Jake has struggled making short throws in the flat and often throws at the feet, fires it sidearm away from the receiver or puts a lot of zip on it and makes it a more difficult catch than it should be. He had one in the first half to Ropati that came in a little hot. The ball was catchable but at the angle it was thrown and the zip made it more difficult.

Jake and his WR’s definitely need to work more to get on the same page and fine tune some things and if they do a lot of the drops will clear up. Maybe another off-season working with John Beck can help.
