Rice Chex was built down, directing sound downward. LES is built outward, so sound is less directed. Yell into a bowl,

then yell into a cooking pan. Which is louder. Both should be made of the same material.

Very likely. Primarily because it's a bowl with no open corners. Our sound leaks

They're more enclosed, so I'd guess it'd be easier to increase the decibel level- fill in the corners and it
