True, I sent my son to practice last week in a Y jersey. He comes home and while laughing he says “Dad, I don’t know if
I can wear that to practice again — everybody made fun of me the entire time.”
Me - Who did?
Son - all the coaches, all of my teammates. They all kept saying “B-Y-U sucks like poo”
I was proud of my son though. He didn’t let it get under his skin, he mostly laughed it off and took it in stride. Most kids are not strong enough to take ridicule but he has the gift to take it.

Its a self preservation reflex. Ridicule is one thing. But with yewts its assault, vandalism of personal property, etc.
