...his offensive talent and what he has to work with. Even if he was a genius play caller (which he is not, but does seem to be adequate) ...you're still limited to what your players are capable of. I just don't think Arod is outgoing enough and has that excitement vibe to ever really be a good recruiter. Look at the personality differenced between Arod and Jay Hill. Night and day, and it shows in Hill's ability to recruit. Which he can then run the defense he wants.
As for Noah Lugo, it's hard to say until he's in serious contention to play. I believe he runs the scout team rn. He wasnt massively heralded coming out of HS. I think he decommited from Univ of Texas San Antonio and signed w/ BYU (obviously a better offer). From HS, he seems like a dual threat, but needs work on passing, like many.
Jake prob comes back next year and it will be Jake and Hillstead at 1 and 2, but will be interesting to see what Lugo can do in the spring
