No, they wanted what they perceived to be a better running back
and they thought, perhaps rightfully so, that Montgomery made them better.
I love Jamal, he had a great year with detroit…but he is best when he is a RB2 complimenting a speeder back and protecting the QB on obvious passing downs. NO wanted a reliable back up to Kamara, he is perfect in that role.
