That’s true. It’s also True that Lassiter must catch the ball within his vicinity to do his job. If he plans on playing
in the NFL, he better learn to catch those balls and most certainly not complain when they aren’t perfect. Your job as a wide receiver is not to catch perfect passes — any semi-athletic guy can do that. Your job is to catch balls that are within your vicinity and make a play on them.

I have two sons that play running back. I tell them often that anyone can get the ball handed off to them and then get tackled at the line on first contact — their job is to require more than one tackler, make a guy miss, stiff arm, out run etc… if you just get the ball and get tackled then give someone else a shot at running the ball. Same goes for Lassiter. His job is to catch the ball thrown in his vicinity not to always have it served up on a platter.
