The only thing that will change the narrative is to not only make the playoffs a few times, but actually win some of those games. Don't necessarily have to win a NC, but seems like they'd have to reach it a time or two and at make it competitive.

TCU proved that the inverse is true, adding more fuel to the narrative that the conference's best still can't compete with the others.
