One of the benefits if last seasons horrible 2nd half, was that injuries forced young players into major playing rotations. look at the secondary, and how many players are playing every game at Corner and Safety, with zero drop off. Young guys who might have started getting a chance to see time, this season, are suddenly experienced vets who may have lost those 2023 games, but were in every game until the very end. They weren’t just getting garbage plays against the walk on/practice squad of Oklahoma or OSU, they were playing and completing against their best. The same with the O line, who finally are being coached correctly, but have serious depth that allows a 3rd string center look like an All Conference guy, against some of the best D Line that BYU has faced.
