being warned. This guy explained that he was known to cut corners (with safety) for a little extra money, insisted on sailing too close to the Horn of Africa to shave a little time off of the route and get a bonus. Did it in spite of all the crew's protests, and sure enough, got hijacked.
They also hated that he tried to 'pose' as a hero. He was certainly a victim, but didn't do anything heroic - just got saved by the Seal team.
I didn't know that there were some real heroics by the crew - makes it even more interesting.
