Having played coached and watched both sports, hockey would be the better choice
Don't get me wrong, I love both sports, but hockey can draw larger crowds and isn't affected by some of the crappy weather in the spring.
Believe me I have sat through some miserable weather in the spring watching lacrosse and would have given anything to be watching a hockey game in a rink instead 🙂
