Everybody knows that bananas are high in potassium, but that's not exactly true. Plants store potassium in their
structure (stems, branches, leaves, etc.).

Bananas do have plenty of potassium, but it's in the peel. So unless you eat the banana peel, bananas really aren't very high in potassium at all in terms of nutrition that benefits us. Spinach and broccoli are better sources of potassium because we actually eat the parts of those plants where the potassium is.
