true that many times when BYU has beaten a ranked opponent in the past, that opponent has went on to lose a number of games and has shown to not be as good of a team as we thought before BYU played them (take 1984 Pitt for example who was #3 going into their season opener vs. BYU but finished the season 3-7-1).
