I lived in Hockeytown (aka the Detroit area) for many years, and you can’t help
but care and become a fan there. Plus the Red Wings were always good, and won a couple of Stanley Cups during that time. I probably attended about 20-25 games over the years there, including a bunch of playoff games.
But I admit that before I moved to Michigan, I knew next to nothing about hockey. I guess I knew who Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux were.
