It wasn’t the fans it was the owner who wanted the city to pay for an arena.
The residents said no we have already paid for enough sports stuff.

As a tax payer if you aren’t a Hockey fan I totally understand it.

The players were playing in a building I think that held 3,000 fans and no locker rooms.

Now they have an owner who is willing to pay for an arena, a fan base that is new and excited, and a real arena even now, with locker rooms.

They didn’t even have basic training room equipment in Phoenix. Felt really bad for the players.

Props to the NHL realizing the issue and props to the owner coming to his senses and allowing them to go play in a real arena where they can get proper training needs met.
