Detmer, who threw gobs of interceptions?  Is it that Ty racked up so many touchdowns to offset it? That he racked up 300 and 400 yard games week after week? That often led the nation in passing yards, and TDs thrown, and the team ranked highly in the offensive stats? There really was just a sense that Detmer could lead the team right down the field to score at any time. Does Jake just not have enough of a track record and resume established yet, such as Detmer had done by the end of his Sophmore season?
