It just means they hit the open guy and execute the game plan well. A game manager doesn't throw into double coverage or attempt risky plays. A game manager will take off with his legs and take up any open space, then slide before getting hit to reduce fumble possibilities.

I'd be happy to have Jake be an effective game manager...everyone does their 1/11th, no need for the QB to try to do too much.
