and everything to do with the coaching staff's detailed plan/schedule for squeezing as much out of limited practice hours.
There's some value to the program and the fans in having the event, but the coach wants to limit the fussiness of the production wherever possible. If they put on a polished, televised Big Show this year there will be pressure to put on a bigger extravaganza next year. The BYUtv production team (whom I admire and respect) will want much more of the team and coaching staff's attention than the coach wants to give.
Same is true of Kalani and Blue-White game production.
Same is true for volleyball and other sports.
It's not the fear of other team's seeing what we're doing, it's simply avoiding undue distraction.
