For playoff tickets, I am not at the same level as a full 81 game ticket holder, but I am next in line and can buy at face value. Now, will my local team ever make the playoffs? Likely not in my lifetime. But in theory, I don't have to go to 20+ games to get playoff ticket access. It breaks out to about 15-20 tickets per season, which I can easily do in 5-10 games. That's not too hard to do, and I even get a bit of a discount on regular season tickets compared to single game ticket prices.

Not sure how many teams do this, but it's better than a partial season package IMHO.
