An LLC doesn't pay taxes. The income/loss is passed thru to the owner/owners so the income/loss ends up on your taxes. If you file as married filing jointly, the income/loss will end up on your taxes either way.
Nobody is really going to know or care whether it is just you or you and your spouse on the LLC. If for some reason you want to change the ownership later on you can do that. So do whatever you think is best for you.
