I'm gonna have to agree with bluefever on this one
we were not in the "big time football" in '84. Have you seen the amount of vids on youtube that cover how shocking byu's '84 run was. If we were big time football at that time, it wouldn't have been "Shocking" or "changing the landscape of cfb forever".
