As someone who has a spouse that needs to pre-board and uses a wheelchair, I get sick of these takes. My wife looks fully able-bodied and you wouldn’t be able to tell by looking at her. In fact, most wheelchair users are at least semi-ambulatory. Just because they can walk short distances doesn’t merit mocking of them for using a wheelchair. Are there some that abuse it? Likely. But you can’t make that distinction.
