One thing a lot of fans generally never take into account when facing a good defense is that you can't keep calling the same plays. Baylor, under Arranda, is a good and well coached defense. "Just call that same play to Chase, it was wide open." Sure, and now that the safety has already seen it once he'll just stroll over for the interception if you call it again.
Certainly there are concepts you keep calling if you've seen a defense is vulnerable in that area, but the "Why are we running the ball, just throw it to X again," crowd really shows their ignorance of football.
Not that the offense doesn't need to work on what went wrong in the 2nd half. They do. Managing only 3 pts nearly cost us the game.
