By “they” you mean one tweet… That is more of a reaction to
News that the P2 are going to try to cut out the big 12 and the the ACC.

I do believe there is one fundamental difference between BYU and Utah fans.

BYU has been a fantastic brand and has brought so much to the college football landscape. I love the program.

But when the BCS nonsense was created, BYU went back and toted on their past Success in the WAC.

But all that did was reinforce the many times they kept losing to BCS schools.

Utah took Exception And broke the glass ceiling… Twice. They also wreaked havoc on almost every out of conference BCS school they played.

BYU fans laughed at Utah’s BCS Success and constantly devalued it.

Utah was the shining star when BCS invites started going around, and played the game about as well as a small school could.

By the time this last round round came about, Utah had already won two P5 championships.

Once again, BYU fans devalued and mocked the success, and even laughed at the idea of the big 12 would accept Utah. (because of Utah’s Rose Bowl losses, a few Twitter crazies like this, and BYU’s “ Dominance of the Utah market”)

When in reality, Utah with their success on the field, and the subsequent results on brand and viewership, knew they were always a highly prized target.

We saw how that played out.

All that said, the anxiety Utah fans feels whenever there is a change coming up, is that we need to win, create value for the program, And earn our way upward.

That has always been the recipe. I don’t know how any other program would mock what Utah has done to better their program.

At every step and every level BYU fans have mocked this mindset, and yet they have been wrong about Utah almost every time.
