In 2007 if BYU had won both of the 2 OOC games they lost they would have been #1
...in the BCS rankings that year, because everyone else had at least one or two losses. The two losses were at UCLA and at Tulsa.
Online BCS "what-if" tools allowed you to tweak any outcome of any game. Just one loss and BYU would have been in the BCS games. Zero losses would have put them at #1 in the BCS
