home, typically in the morning.
The alarms go off because homeowners neglect routine maintenance. Have an Alexa set an alarm annually to replace the 9V batteries in your smoke detector batteries.
You can do it anytime. You will never get a low battery alarm again.
It's what the instructions say to do.
I started doing that in my trailer. The batteries also lose lifespan due to heat and since trailers aren't insulated in a home, one Utah summer and winter is enough to destroy a battery to the point it's going off on the first campout of the year. Just swap them after you dewinterize the trailer and no more alarms.
The biggest problem is 9V batteries aren't cheap. You could be spending close to $50/year depending on the size of your home.
