Usually when teams do this it’s based on the buyer’s zip code, so unless that is
illegal in Utah (I think it is in some states? Not sure) I don’t see how it would be illegal.
If they don’t do it by zip code (which for 2 schools as close together as BYU and Utah seems like a poor proxy) I’m not sure how they would identify BYU fans. And even if they have a better proxy, I’m not sure how it would be illegal.
