there is a possibility of having more than 2 undefeated teams (undefeated in conference play) at the end of the regular season. BYU, Colorado, and Iowa State could hypothetically all go 9-0 in conference play.

I am still glad that there are not concrete 2 divisions, and I doubt it will happen. But that is a flaw of the current setup.
