The house is of course bigger than we need but when we built I was self employed and our home was a good part of our retirement considerations so we chose one that we felt would increase in value. It was also a very good price for that size of home. Not really more rooms than a smaller home (7 bedroom 3.5 bath) but the rooms and hallways are just a bit bigger. More space. We really like the wider hallway by the bedrooms. We also loved the area so that was a factor. Also, I have only daughters. Living in a house full of women — space was a necessity!
