We all saw a lot of poor play from him last year. If fans made things personal, that's inappropriate, but especially in the age of NIL, calling it like you see it when players show lack of effort is more than fair game.
Then Gurney calls out the big bad fan base for kicking him when he's down and not saying a word about his improvement. I saw plenty of comments here and on Twitter, especially during the SMU game, where fans noted how much better he looked, how Woods must have really turned things around etc.
