If I was an LDS athlete, I'd prefer going to a Jewish school (if there was one) or a Catholic school like Notre Dame.

This is all assuming there was no BYU, of course. I'd steer clear of party schools.

Incidentally, while my son is a big BYU fan, he didn't like attending BYU. He didn't like the feeling of not knowing anybody as he walked about on campus. He saw everyone as strangers, while in high school he felt like he knew everybody (or at least recognized them). He wanted that feeling in college, so he went to a smaller school after his mission.
