he might have a better chance coming from Utah, because it's usually nearly impossible for an assistant coach to replace a fired head coach (although BYU is certainly different in this regard). Ironically, if he wants to be HC at BYU the most likely way for that to happen would be to leave BYU because that would significantly decrease the likelihood that Kalani succeeds and keeps that job. But in any event, his odds of being offered the BYU job would not decrease if he went to Utah.
