A variation would be just to eliminate scholarships for football players and pay them. Title IX compliance would be easy without football's large number of scholarships that have to be balanced with non-revenue women's sports.

BYU is fortunate because it has some high profile women's teams that bring in some money.

In the end I think the feds would try to build a better mouse trap if schools were able to sidestep Title IX.
