I mean I guess it could go either way. He could be brilliant and bored.
However, we found that our son had similar issues to his cousin who was diagnosed with auditory processing disorder. He wasn’t turning in assignments because he wasn’t hearing and processing. He didn’t understand what the teacher needed. He was doing poorly in all language arts because he wasn’t hearing the instructions. He was doing well in math because his dad was basically tutoring him.
After diagnosis, the school had been working with us. FM system has helped. Now if an assignment hasn’t been turned in, it’s usually something like he turned it in under the wrong assignment.
