Utah 2008 isn't a bad comparison so far. Utah was unranked at the beginning of
season and went undefeated beating 4 ranked teams. 4 of 6 BCS computer models had Utah #1 at season's end.
BYU was picked to win the conference in 2008 and had 2 recent conference championships (eerily similar to Utah 2024). BYU finished 3rd. Hopefully Utah 2024 does better than BYU in 2008. So far so good.
Both teams started 4-0 in 2008 also.
