On 4th down if the offense fumbles the ball, the only player who can recover and
advance it at that point is the man who fumbled.
If anybody else on the offense recovers a ball that was fumbled forward on 4th down, the ball will be spotted back to the place of the fumble.
That was KState's 4th down, not ours. The 4th down rule did not apply to us.
