Sports doc thoughts: Unless you have a lot of pain right by your sits bone
MRI is unnecessary. Can determine grade by ultrasound but none of that changes much right now, more idea on length of rehab.
For blood clot risk make sure you get up frequently, pump your calves while your sitting to keep blood moving.

Usually a person can walk around on it, just with a shorter stride. Good luck.
