Whoever wrote the article should check with fan boards of teams that have played at LES. I have sat by fans from other schools - Baylor, Arkansas, and Southern Illinois among a few others. One I remember several years ago was Texas A&M. I have had friendly conversations with all. Southern Illinois fans were very complimentary of our fans. The only unpleasant encounter was with some Ute fans who came to a game we were playing against UNLV. I mean they bought tickets to a game that was not even against Utah just so they could hoot and holler against us. Very rude and obnoxious.
