decision. Tara Warner's natural position wasn't center back but she was one of the best players on the team so of course Rockwood was smart and put one of her best players into one of the most important positions, especially in a year when success depends on grinding out one goal games. I don't know what Tara Warner played in high school or club ball, but she had been a midfielder for BYU in her previous years. And Tara Warner was terrific for us, despite not playing in her natural position. Even Tara wasn't quite elite fast like some of the other speedy attacking players we have played, and Tara was a lot quicker/faster than Rustand.
so its odd that at beginning of season Rockwood recognizes that natural position is pretty irrelevant and moves her players around to match her style of play, and then now she is taking our worst-performing backline player over the first 8 games and hoping she'll work out in the 90-minute position slot of center backs because its a perceived natural position??
