This story is baloney. I raised cattle for 60 years and was never attacked by a
herd of cows. I only had one cow that was really snippy with me in all of those years. Only kept her because she had the best calves in the herd. Cows were very protective of their calves. I learned to never get in between them and their calves and was never attacked. If a cow ever came after you, you just stood there until the cow was very close and then side stepped her. They just run on by as they can’t turn when charging. Sometimes in pens while working the cattle one could get a little snippy. To write a story about a herd of cows attacking just doesn’t sound any where near realistic to me, unless the people had dogs with them. Then the cows would attack the dogs not the people.
