Labrum recovery is best with pain meds (lots of pain for a long time), but pain meds can ruin lives. Someone other than the patient should control the meds. And the meds should only be used as prescribed.

The other advice... labrum recovery takes forever. You can't rush it. Take it slow.

Your son should be ready to play next season... but he may not be ready for summer ball.
