We’re currently under contract to buy. Our agent had us sign a contract with him before he could show us a property. Because this was a written document I had to sign and not a ‘handshake’ between the realtors I was able to negotiate with a lot more power. Overall I think the transparency from the new law puts more power in the hands of the sellers and buyers. Did your agent show you homes without a contract?
