No. They have the roster. Any coach could sit one guy and play another without any notice to the opposition and no one
would call that unfair.

You think we shouldn’t be allowed to start Bohannon unless we publicly declare him to be our starter the week before? No way. You prepare for our whole roster, and if we want to mix it up, that’s up to us. You’re not entitled to our personnel plans.

Not talking about injuries may marginally mitigate the disadvantage of being without a player, but that’s not unfair. And it’s certainly not an unfair advantage to have a player injured whether you disclose it or not.
