Bronco had an outwardly hostile relationship with some of the local media members. I think that most will remember the stare of death that he gave to Tom Kirkland. He also despised Gordon Monsen. After how some of the local writers and radio personalities spoke and wrote about him, I can completely understand why he gave them the cold shoulder. OTOH, he seemed to give warm and engaging interviews to the national journalists.
