I have no tips. I put in for 50 years and never drew out. Most of the hunters
I’ve talked to in the past say you need to be there a few days in advance and do a lot of scouting. There are roads everyplace on Cove so it’s easy to drive around especially with a side by side. Quite a bit of private land, you need to know where that is. I’m too old to get up in the mountains or I would still be up there in the summer and fall. I don’t know the number of permits, but there used to be only about 15. It seemed like most of hunters hit the Koosharem and Monroe sides of the mountain. Fewer hunters on the Cove side. Best wishes, I hope you get a big one. Let me know how you do.
